Ties that Bind

Meditative, Poem0 comments

Blessed be the ties that bind
Hands of criminals behind.
The ones who prayed with boys as toys
For their own private use.

These boys they saved
Into the night.
They preyed while praying
With collars white.

Men of the cloth, even now.
These saints who took a holy vow
Pardoned by Diocese
Are not punished… but set free.

Freedom bought at what cost
For more lives then too perish?
With cherished childhood gone and lost
To memories…. that won’t vanish.
