The Great Bandini

For safety reasons, the nets required.
But the Great Bandini soon retired,
All pumped up and now inspired
To give his last best show.

And falling into open arms
He wonders if he’ll miss.
Attention spans are fleeting.
Distractions can do harm.

And slipping, missing
Outstretched arms,
He falls to earth
With loud alarm.

To please this crowd
And make them cry
No net tonight
Bandini…… Goodbye!
